Ensuring inclusion

Children and youth with disabilities have the right to participate fully in society. Advocacy ensures that policies and systems support that participation, from local communities to international decision-making.

We Ring the Bell campaign in Burkina Faso

How we engage

Our work is grounded in human rights, including the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) principle of “leave no one behind.”

We do this by:

  • Building evidence-based advocacy agendas
  • Strengthening youth voices so children and youth with disabilities can speak for themselves
  • Promote inclusion in networks and forums at national and international levels
  • Sharing perspectives in public and policy discussions to influence meaningful change

Collaboration matters

Sustainable change comes through partnerships. Working with local actors, networks and international allies ensures advocacy is relevant, effective and lasting. We are active in these networks.
