How we measure impact

Our impact management is participatory, data-informed, and grounded in local realities. We work closely with partners to collect data, amplify the voices of people with disabilities, and track progress from activities to long-term outcomes. By combining research, monitoring and evaluation, and continuous learning, we ensure our programmes remain relevant and effective.

We focus not only on what we do, but on the difference it makes and for whom.

Our data systems guide programme decisions, communicate results and strengthen accountability. Our Theory of Change helps us understand how our work contributes to broader goals such as inclusion, empowerment and sustainable development.

We maintain high data quality through verification, support and capacity building. People with disabilities and their families actively define desired results and reflect on change, making monitoring inclusive and meaningful.

Our methodology

Impact management is embedded in every stage of our programming at Liliane Fonds. Before approval, each project develops a comprehensive Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) plan. This includes a Theory of Change, a Results Framework and templates for reporting on reach, interventions and indicators.

We track output (e.g. children reached, services delivered) and outcomes (the changes achieved). Regular updates with partners foster reflection, learning and adaptation. Each project integrates learning questions and multi-year programmes include baseline, midterm and endline evaluations, often using hybrid approaches that enhance local ownership and practical use of results.

Our MEL system ensures data is not only collected, but actively used to learn, improve and demonstrate impact.
