Inclusion

Being part of the groupThe theme of inclusion overarches the aspects of health, education and work and income. It is a prerequisite for full enjoyment of human rights. Our policy on inclusion ensures that children and youngsters with disabilities are recognised as equal members of society with the same rights as everybody. It also ensures that they are actively engaged in the development process, irrespective of their disability or other status such as age, gender, race, ethnicity, religion, social or cultural background.

Inclusion in progress
Inclusion is being developed as a focus area. It is expected to cover the following components: awareness-raising, advocacy, empowerment, community mobilisation and participation with attention to the role of Disabled People Organisations and promotion of self-help groups.
