Home Child's story Archie walks and talks

Archie walks and talks

childstoryArchie (9) from the Philippines was born with brain damage. When he was three, all he could do was lie down.

Archie’s parents did not know how to handle their little boy. They did not have the money to consult a doctor. Let alone that they were in a position to afford treatment. Yet, they took a chance and turned to a treatment facility.

A contact person of the Liliane Foundation gave them hope. With the support of the Liliane Foundation, Archie has been seeing a physical therapist and a speech therapist. Archie can speak much better now. And he learned how to walk.

For Archie, who loves drawing, the Liliane Foundations paid a contribution of € 47,41 over 2010. This allowed him to go to the treatment centre the entire year.
